Your extended 2025 Form 5472 is due Thursday 15 October 2026. Order Express ($199) today and your package is ready for you to check and sign within 24 hours, 7 days a week. It cannot go to the IRS until you sign it — only your signature belongs on the pro forma Form 1120.

Today is Tuesday 13 October 2026. If you extended your 2025 return on Form 7004, the useful question is no longer "what is the deadline" but "what can actually be completed between now and Thursday." This post answers only that — start your filing now and read the rest while the intake is open.

For the full calendar, every extended date and the fiscal-year exceptions, see the Form 5472 deadline guide for 2026 and 2027. This page covers the next 48 hours.

Is 15 October 2026 genuinely the last day?

For a calendar-year 2025 return extended on Form 7004, yes. The Form 7004 instructions describe an automatic extension period of generally six months, carrying a 15 April 2026 due date to 15 October 2026 — a Thursday, so no weekend shift applies. There is no further extension after it.

Two things the extension did not do: it did not extend the time to pay anything — Form 7004 "does not extend the time to pay any tax due" — and it had to be filed by the regular due date to exist at all.

What does "within 24 hours" actually mean?

Express ($199) means one thing precisely: your completed package is ready for you to check and sign within 24 hours of ordering, 7 days a week.

It does not mean filed within 24 hours, and we will not tell you otherwise to win the order. The reason is not a disclaimer — it is how the filing works.

Your Form 5472 is attached to a pro forma Form 1120 with "Foreign-owned U.S. DE" written across the top, and only the name, address and items B and E completed on page 1 (IRS, Instructions for Form 5472). That return carries the signature of the person authorised to sign for the LLC. That is you, your co-owner or your officer — never us. A package without the right signature is not a filing.

So the honest sequence is three steps, in this order:

  1. We prepare — within 24 hours of your order, 7 days a week.
  2. You sign — the step only you can take.
  3. We fax — to the IRS, with a timestamped transmission receipt, included in the price.

Everything up to the signature is on our clock; everything after it starts with you. That is why the promise stops where it does — and why we would rather you knew about step two now than discovered it on Thursday morning.

What happens hour by hour if you order Express today?

Assume you order on Tuesday 13 October. These are our commitments and your tasks — not predictions about what the IRS will do with the package.

Read the table as a chain, not a guaranteed outcome. We control the first four rows. The fifth begins when your signature arrives: sign on Wednesday and the fax goes out with a day in hand. Leave it until Thursday evening and the time is gone — the one risk here we cannot absorb for you.

What if you never filed Form 7004?

Then 15 October 2026 is not your deadline, and today's date changes nothing about your position.

Form 7004 had to be filed by the regular due date — 15 April 2026 for a calendar-year 2025 return — to create an extension at all. Without one, your 2025 package has been late since 16 April 2026. Filing on Thursday would not make it timely; it would make it a late filing submitted on Thursday.

That is a late filing rather than a 15 October deadline, and it is better done this week than next quarter. A reasonable cause statement can accompany a late package, but it is not a procedure that clears the penalty: the IRS states that during processing of a delinquent information return, penalties "may be assessed without considering the attached reasonable cause statement" (delinquent international information return submission procedures). Read what to do if you filed late or never filed before you pick a tier — there is no deadline-driven reason to pay for Express if your return is already late.

What do you need to have ready to make 24 hours achievable?

The clock starts when you order, but it only runs smoothly if the intake can be answered in one sitting. Have four things in front of you:

  • The LLC's EIN, exactly as issued, plus the legal name, US address, state and formation date. If the EIN is still pending, say so in the intake rather than guessing.
  • Owner details — full legal name, address, country of residence and the foreign tax ID (FTIN) if the owner has one.
  • The year's related-party transaction totals for 2025: money you put into the LLC, money you took out, loans in either direction, and any sales or services between you and the LLC. Totals for the year, not a transaction list.
  • Year-end total assets at 31 December 2025, the figure that goes in item E of the pro forma Form 1120 — the current form and instructions are on the IRS Form 5472 page.

If a number is genuinely unknown, say so. A flagged estimate we can question beats a confident wrong figure — the IRS treats a substantially incomplete Form 5472 as a failure to file, so the figures are the part worth getting right.

Is Standard still worth considering today?

Standard is $149 and ready in 5-7 business days. Ordered today that lands after 15 October, so if your extension is live and you need the package ready to sign before Thursday, Standard is not your tier — and we will say so rather than take the cheaper order.

It is not a lesser filing, though. The forms, the accountant review, the reasonable-cause letter where one is needed and the IRS fax delivery are identical on both tiers; only speed differs. Each additional past tax year is a flat $99 either way. Full breakdown on the pricing page.

What is the actual penalty exposure if Thursday passes?

A $25,000 penalty is assessed on a reporting corporation that fails to file Form 5472 when due and in the manner prescribed, and a substantially incomplete form counts as a failure to file (IRS, Instructions for Form 5472).

The part people miss is that it does not stop there. If the failure continues for more than 90 days after the IRS notifies you, an additional $25,000 applies with respect to each related party for each 30-day period, or part of one, after that window ends. The instructions state no maximum. It is not a one-off fine you can price in; it is a meter that starts once a notice arrives and runs until the filing is made. If a notice has already reached you, the penalty notice walkthrough is a better starting point than this page.

How does the signed package reach the IRS?

Not electronically. The instructions state that you cannot file Form 5472 electronically, which is also why no amount of urgency turns this into a one-click submission.

The signed package goes by fax to 855-887-7737, or by mail to the Internal Revenue Service, 1973 Rulon White Blvd, M/S 6112, Attn: PIN Unit, Ogden, UT 84201. Two days out, fax is the only sensible route, and it is included in both tiers.

Keep the transmission receipt — and be clear what it is. A fax receipt is evidence that the package was transmitted at a given date and time. It is not IRS acceptance, and the Form 5472 instructions do not describe a routine acknowledgment for a faxed package. Silence afterwards establishes neither acceptance nor rejection.

Frequently asked questions

Can you file my Form 5472 within 24 hours?

We cannot promise it: filing depends on your signature, not on us. We prepare your complete package for signature within 24 hours of ordering, 7 days a week. Only you can sign it. Sign the same day and the fax goes the same day.

Is 15 October 2026 really my last day?

Only if Form 7004 was filed by 15 April 2026. With a valid extension, 15 October 2026 is the final date and there is no further extension. Without one, your 2025 return has been late since 16 April 2026.

Can I e-file to beat the deadline?

No. The Form 5472 instructions state you cannot file Form 5472 electronically. A foreign-owned US disregarded entity's package goes by fax or mail to the Ogden PIN Unit, which is why the signature step cannot be compressed away.

Does the fax receipt prove the IRS accepted my filing?

It proves transmission, not acceptance. Keep the timestamped receipt and the exact package you sent. The instructions do not describe a routine acceptance acknowledgment for a faxed package, so treat subsequent silence as neither approval nor rejection.

What if some of my 2025 figures are still estimates?

Flag them in the intake. Our preparer and the reviewing accountant will question anything that looks off before the package reaches you. A substantially incomplete form counts as a failure to file, so a flagged estimate is safer than a confident guess.

Do I pay more for earlier tax years?

Each additional past tax year beyond the first is a flat $99, on either tier. Filing 2024 and 2025 together is one order, not two, and the same accountant review covers both.

Can I still order on Wednesday 14 October?

You can, and the 24-hour promise still holds — but your signing window shrinks to hours rather than a day. If Thursday matters, today is materially better than tomorrow.

Ordering today

If your extension is live and Thursday is the date you are working to, the sequence is short: start your filing, answer the intake in one sitting, sign the package when it arrives, and we fax it. The only link we cannot handle for you is the signature — which is exactly why we tell you about it before you pay rather than after.

We are not a CPA firm and do not give tax advice. A qualified tax accountant reviews each package before it is sent.
