White-label Form 5472 filing lets an accounting or bookkeeping firm keep its client relationship and agreed client-facing branding while Form5472 Prep handles the specialist preparation workflow behind the scenes. White-label delivery is available by request, with communication scope, responsibilities, and commercial terms confirmed during partner approval.
This model is useful when a firm's clients occasionally need Form 5472 and a pro forma Form 1120, but building and maintaining an internal workflow for that narrow filing would distract from the firm's core work.
Request a white-label partner discussion and describe the client-facing touchpoints your firm needs branded.
A specialist back office without surrendering the relationship
White label is not simply placing a logo on a document. It is an operating agreement about who the client sees, who gathers the information, who prepares the work, who reviews it, who answers questions, and who preserves the filing record.
For the standard foreign-owned US disregarded LLC profile, Form5472 Prep prepares:
- Form 5472;
- the limited pro forma Form 1120;
- the supporting Part V statement where applicable;
- a reasonable-cause statement for supported late-filing cases;
- the signature workflow; and
- IRS fax delivery with a timestamped submission receipt.
Every package receives review by a qualified tax accountant before submission. The About page explains the filing-courier model and its boundaries.
Responsibility map for accounting firms
| Responsibility | Accounting firm | Form5472 Prep | Client |
|---|---|---|---|
| Define the overall engagement | Owns | Supports only the Form 5472 scope | Accepts engagement terms |
| Determine whether other tax returns are needed | Owns or assigns to a licensed adviser | Flags obvious out-of-scope indicators | Provides complete facts |
| Collect entity and owner information | Coordinates | Provides structured questions | Supplies and confirms information |
| Classify reportable transactions | Reviews facts and escalates judgment calls | Converts supported facts into the filing workpaper | Explains transfers and provides records |
| Prepare the Form 5472 package | Monitors | Owns | Reviews final package |
| Sign the return | Coordinates | Provides secure link | Owns |
| Submit and retain proof | Keeps client file | Faxes and stores receipt | Keeps signed copy |
| Client-facing branding | Defines requested scope | Implements agreed white-label communications | Sees the agreed brand experience |
The client remains responsible for the accuracy of the submitted information. The accounting firm remains responsible for advice or conclusions outside the defined Form 5472 preparation service.
What to define in a white-label agreement
Before sending the first client, agree on five practical items.
Brand touchpoints
List the communications that should use the firm's brand. Do not assume that requesting white label automatically changes every portal page, URL, invoice, email sender, or government form. Government filings must still show the legally required taxpayer and preparer information.
Client communication
Decide whether client questions go first to the accounting firm or directly to Form5472 Prep. A single visible owner prevents duplicate or conflicting answers.
Scope escalation
Form 5472 is an information return. A client may also need income-tax, withholding, state, treaty, or entity-classification advice. Define who handles those questions before a complex file arrives.
Document custody
Agree who retains formation documents, owner ledgers, signed packages, and fax receipts. The partner dashboard provides filing visibility, but the accounting firm should still maintain its engagement records under its own policies.
Billing
The standard partner program uses per-filing checkout at the same current prices as direct customers. Volume pricing or consolidated invoicing can be discussed. Any client-facing fee or markup should be agreed between the accounting firm and its client and should not be confused with an unconfirmed commission from Form5472 Prep.
When white label is a strong fit
White-label delivery is particularly useful when:
- the firm wants one consistent brand across bookkeeping, formation, and annual compliance;
- foreign-owned LLC work is recurring but not frequent enough for a dedicated internal specialist;
- the firm wants to retain its client relationship rather than make an external referral;
- staff need a repeatable intake and status workflow; or
- the firm serves clients across time zones and needs a browser-based signature and documented submission trail.
The standard partner program may be simpler when speed matters more than brand continuity or when the accounting firm is comfortable telling the client that a specialist filing provider is involved.
Questions to ask before outsourcing a Form 5472 workflow
Evaluate any provider against operational facts rather than broad “full-service tax” language:
- Does the service clearly distinguish Form 5472 information reporting from owner income-tax advice?
- Does it prepare the pro forma Form 1120 as part of the package?
- Who reviews the package before submission?
- Who obtains the taxpayer's signature?
- Which submission route is used, and what proof is retained?
- Can the firm monitor every client file without sharing client passwords?
- What happens when a file is outside the standard profile?
- Which communications are actually white-labeled?
Those answers belong in the operating agreement before client data begins moving.
Pricing and rollout
Current direct pricing is listed on the pricing page. Start with a small group of suitable client files, document the handoff, and confirm who owns each communication. Once the workflow is stable, the same partner dashboard can manage additional client LLCs without creating separate partner logins.
Apply for the partner program and select white-label interest. Include your expected volume, current workflow, and required brand touchpoints so the approval discussion can be specific.
